This week we began providing our full range of orthodontic services for the first time since mid-March when we closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Most visits originally booked for the weeks we were closed have been rescheduled, or will be soon.

In response to COVID-19 we’ve implemented new procedures to protect your health and safety. Although many of these changes are transparent, your next office visit will seem somewhat different than before.  This webpage will let you know what to expect, and how to prepare so that your visit goes smoothly.

Hello from all of us here at Segal & Iyer.  We hope you are staying safe, and that things are going well for you.

In mid-March, as the coronavirus pandemic was spreading throughout New Jersey, we closed our office and suspended non-emergency procedures.  There were too many unknowns, and our priority is to protect the health and safety of our patients and team. Since then, all NJ orthodontic offices have closed under state executive orders and CDC guidance.

There is still some uncertainty about when orthodontic practices will be allowed to reopen, but it appears we will be able to resume full operations on or before Monday, June 8^th.

We have begun rescheduling appointments, giving priority to patients we’ve determined to need attention most urgently.  We are aiming to see everyone as soon as possible, and have adjusted our hours accordingly.  However, we are limited by the fact that that we can accommodate fewer patients at any given time due to physical distancing guidelines.

We’re doing all we can to get every patient back on track as quickly as possible, but it still may take several weeks.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are acquiring equipment and implementing new procedures to help ensure that we continue to exceed industry standards for safety.  You can expect to see fewer people and more distance between them.  There will be more facemasks and gloves, fewer things for you to touch, and more questions to answer than usual.  You can expect just as many smiles too, although some will be hidden behind facemasks. You’ll receive details about these changes prior to your appointment.
